Selbach “Fish Label SALMO” Riesling QBA (dry) 2018

Region: Mosel River Valley, Germany

Quality category: Qualitätswein (= quality wine), usually picked during the early part of the harvest (third week to fourth week of October).

Characteristics: Fresh, appealing nose of apples and citrus with a touch of stony minerality from the slate woil. Fresh with bright fruit flavoured (apples and citrus again), a touch of smoke and lively, crisp dry finish.

Recommendation: Refreshingly crisp and elegant dry wine for enjoyment alone by itself as well as a multi-purpose food wine. Goes great with fish, shellfish, smoked meats and sausages. Fabulous with oysters or clams on the half shell.

Serve at: 10-11° Celsius
