Cusumano Syrah 2018
Zone of production:Presti e Pegni, Alcamo (TP).
Grape: 100% Syrah
Average age of the vines: 12 years.
Vinification: De-stemming, cold maceration on the skins for two days for two days at 5°C, fermentation at 26°-28°C with frequent re-circulation and removal of the must. Malolactic fermentation in stainless steel, and a period in contact with the fine lees of at least five months. Successive fining in the bottle.
Colour: deep red colour
Nose:juicy and vigorous, with spicy berry flavor.
Taste: an elegant, medium to full bodied wine displaying flavors of berries, cassis and spice.
Accompanying foods: for hors-d’oeuvre ( appetizers) especially of sliced salame and ham, excellent for all type of Italian pasta, meats and moderately aged cheeses.
