Chateau Haut Vigneau (2nd Ch.Carbonnieux) 2016
Region: Pessac Leognan
Merlot : 50%
Cabernet Sauvignon : 50%
The colour is a garnet, intense and shiny. The first nose opens with notes of black cherry, black fruit, ripe, then leaves appear at the bustle of the slightly spicy and roasted aromas. All is warm and good intensity. On the palate, the attack is round and powerful, then a beautiful tannic structure invades the Palace in the middle of the mouth. The roundness and the power balance is a very good outfit. The whole is aromatic with notes of dark fruit (cherry) and then grilled in the finish. The finish is a nice length. The whole is young but already greedy, foreshadowing a guard in 10 years time.
