By Jeff Carrel Les Darons-Languedoc 2015
“LES DARONS” means “THE FATHERS” because the cuvee is made in its majority of grapes from vines over 40 years old in Languedoc where Grenache and Carignan originate.
Grape: 75% Grenache / 5% Carignan / 20% Syrah
Alcohol : 13.5%
An accessible wine with loads of character, ‘Les Darons’ is packed with ripe, red and dark fruit aromas, with plenty of spice and a streak of underlying minerality.
